John Henry Sanderson In February 1906 John Henry Sanderson of Heightside, Sharneyford, aged 12 and half accomplished a remarkable school attendance record, having missed school only once during seven years to attend his fathers funeral. Henry was presented with a silver watch by the Bacup Education Committee.
