The Shaw Family
The Shaw Family lived at 4 Grafton Street Bacup. The photograph shows Herbert Shaw Son, Lucy Shaw Mother, Ethel Daughter and youngest daughter Lucy and Grandson Herbert. The father of the family was Jonathon Shaw a Railway Engine driver, there was also two other sons James Henry and Edward. I believe the photograph to be taken sometime after 1911.
Another Lord Family Names associated with this family are Tom Lord Born 1888 who was a Optician and Watchmaker with shops in Bacup and Rawtenstall. Fred Lord Born 1878 married Mary Firth in 1908. Ernest Lord born 1880 married Elizabeth Jane Ashworth in 1910. Isabella Lord born 1891 married Stansfield Asten in 1915. Pictured above are William and Sarah Bolton. William was born in 1860 Sarah 1856 nee Stansfield who then married Edwin Newell before marrying William Bolton. Other names are Mary Bolton and Alice. The Lords on a trip to Blackpool.
Elizabeth Ann Lord, Fred Tattersall and Fred Schofield. This family of Lords in the above two pictures lived at Garden Cottage, which was adjacent to Meadows Farm. The baby in the picture is from Meadows Farm Elizabeth Ann Lord who lived at Garden Cottage married Fred Tattersall from Meadows Farm.
